On Thursday, Cholsey competed in the 'Wallingford Partnership Swimming Gala'. This year the competition was incredibly tough as we were competing against 5 other schools, including two independent schools. Both our boys' and girls' teams gave all they could and set some fantastic personal bests!
The boys won all their races and came 1st overall so will progress to the County finals later this year.
The girls won several of their races and came joint 2nd place. We are waiting to hear if they will progress through to the County finals.
Overall, Cholsey came 1st and won the partnership trophy! Excellent work team!
It is really evident that we have very talented swimmers at Cholsey. If your child has progressed through their lessons you might wish to consider sending them along to one of the local competitive clubs (Didcot Barramundi or Abingdon Vale). Competitive swimming is fun and a great way of keeping fit! Who knows: we may have some future Olympians right here at Cholsey...
Well done everyone for a fantastic effort
