As part of our 'Healthy, Actives Lifestyles' week, KS2 took part in some Bollywood Dance workshops! At the start of the lesson, Jo talked to the children about the origins of Bollywood dancing and explained that whilst many of the dance moves are now used in movies, the hand movements originated from dances performed in temples. It was fantastic to see all the children (and staff!) having fun and embracing this alternative style of dance. Some of the children even took their new moves out onto the playground at lunchtime! At the end of the day, the classes met in the hall to perform their routines to each other. What an exciting way to celebrate dance!
