The children in the Buzzards and Kites groups really enjoyed meeting a Tawny Owl ‘Flint’ and a Little Owl called ‘Reg’ on Monday, and on Wednesday the Kestrels met Leo, the Long eared owl and Parsnip, the Barn Owl.
The children are working on an owl story during their literacy sessions and we have been talking about light and dark and other features of the natural world.
The children returned to the class room inspired and have been doing some lovely work about our topics.
We would like to say a huge ‘Thank you’ to Tracey from Hawkwalk for bringing the owls to our nature area and for her lovely comments about the lovely manners all the children she met had.
