What do making slime, milky plastic and sugar solutions have in common? They are examples of reversible and irreversible reactions that King Cobras were learning about this week. And, of course... the inevitable bicarb and vinegar to make a volcano erupt. Thanks to Mrs A's son for lending us his volcano!
Welcome to our school blog. Here we will show you some of the things we have been getting up to at Cholsey Primary School. We would love to hear your comments (note that these may not appear immediately)

Christingle
All the children and families who came to the Christingle service had a lovely time. There was fantastic music from the wind band, beautiful singing from the choir and some sweets to make it extra special.
A big thank you to the readers, past pupils, Mrs Nathanielsz and everyone at St Mary's Church (including the wonderful puppeteers, who made it such a special event).

Book Swap
Last week, Mrs Nash organised a whole school book swap for the children at Cholsey. The children had a brilliant time finding new books to read and they were all amazed by the sheer number of books available for swapping! Thank you to all parents and guardians who were so kind enough to help supply books for the day. Cholsey School is extremely grateful for your support!

Year 5&6 Science Update
Year 56 are studying materials this term. They bravely dipped their hands in feely bags to hold an object then describe its properties. We realised that some of our terminology was not quite as scientific as we would like! The children then came up with their own methods of investigation and tested some of the items for hardness, transparency, magnetism, flexibility and permeability.
