Having been inspired by such Op Artists as Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely, Art Club have been creating their own optical art. This week they began to create their own versions. Here are their works in progress. Hope you enjoy them!
Welcome to our school blog. Here we will show you some of the things we have been getting up to at Cholsey Primary School. We would love to hear your comments (note that these may not appear immediately)

Skateability
Today the children in KS2 took part in some skateboarding workshops. The workshops proved very successful and the children thoroughly enjoyed learning how to skateboard. It is another great way to get our children active and achieving their 60 active minutes per day.
A huge thank you to Cosmo for running the workshops - the children are already asking when the next workshop will be!

Sports Leaders
Our new Sports Leaders are doing a wonderful job with running our new lunchtime activities! The younger children have loved taking part in parachute games, tri-golf, obstacle courses and giant bowling! We are very proud of our young leaders taking on these coaching roles.

Survival Snacks
Year 5/6 have started looking at their next topic 'Natural Disasters'. In DT the children planned, made and evaluated their own survival snack. The snack had to be: long lasting, tasty, nutritious and energy boosting. Once the snacks were made, the children were able to taste each others snacks and rate them against the brief. Mrs McSweeney then came in to taste judge the finalists in true 'Bake Off' style!

Remembrance Day
All the children and staff took part in a minute silence at 11 am today. We are very proud of Arthur in Year 6, who played the Last Post and Reveille on his cornet to mark the time.
Curriculum & Wellbeing Evening November
It was really great to see so many of you and to be able to share how we teach the different subjects here at Cholsey. The pupil leadership team reps were fantastic ambassadors for the school.
A big thanks also to Annie Evans from Place2Be on her informative presentation on anxiety. We will put a copy of this on our website as soon as possible. Thanks also to Andrew Lloyd from 123ICT for his talk on Internet Safety.
Here are some photos of the evening.
