End of Cholsey Primary School Blog

As we are now using Dojo to communicate and celebrate learning and events to our school community, we will no longer be publishing on this blog. However, it will serve as a reminder of all of the wonderful reasons we have had to celebrate our lovely school over the past few years.

LKS2 WW2 Evacuation

The children in Year 3/4 were evacuated to Wallingford on the train this morning. They were billeted, wrote postcards home and did some WW2 singing. Once we had news that the war was over, we returned to Cholsey and celebrated with a VE Day party using our ration tickets to buy cakes and fruit.

A huge thank you to the Cholsey and Wallingford railway, who help us to make this trip so special for the children.

Gymnastics Success!

Congratulations to Sea Otter Superstar, Eliza!

Eliza competed in a performance gymnastics competition last weekend and came away with two medals! A gold medal on the beam and silver on floor! She had been working so hard towards this competition. A fantastic achievement and she is only Year 1! Well done, Eliza!

All Stars and Dynamos Cricket

A huge thank you to Cholsey Cricket club, All Stars and Dynamos for donating some new equipment to us. Year 3/4 have thoroughly enjoyed developing their cricket skills using all the new equipment!

There is a chance to sign up to All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket (Summer 2023), which will be happening at local cricket clubs this summer:

Healthy Active Lifestyles week (HAL)

We have had an amazing Healthy Active Lifestyle Week. The children have been able to try a whole range of different sporting activities and have also learnt about how to look after their mental and physical health.

There have been some amazing posters and fact files produced and hopefully, some new good habits for life have been formed.

Thank you to our amazing staff, in particular, Miss Addison and Mrs Potter for organising and running the events.
