Art Club

In art club, the children are discovering the art of repeating patterns. They have got as far as checking if their pattern repeats. Look at how careful they're being!

Yum Yum!

Not only do King Cobras excel at dough making but here they are tasting their produce. They evaluated their work carefully and realised that the Victorian recipe we followed had too much salt for our taste. They also began to understand just how much flavourings are needed to overcome the bread! There were some great flavour combinations from a five spice combination to feta with chilli, olives and basil to bacon, herbs and p

epper. What mature palates!

More bread !

This week King Cobra class have been making bread. They had a very sticky time kneading the dough but the results were DELICIOUS! Have a look and see.

Bread Making Week in Anacondas

This week, Anacondas class learned how to make bread. They planned what ingredients they wanted to use and then taste tested them to see which recipe they liked the most. They also designed their own bread shapes and patterns. They had a fantastic time!

Prayer Space

A massive thank you to all of the volunteers who made this week’s Prayer Space such a positive and reflective experience for the children. It was a sea of calm where the children had time to reflect and think in peace. Many are already looking forward to another visit next year.

Children in Need & Anti-Bullying

Thanks to everyone for sending in your donations to support both Children in Need and Anti Bullying.

The children looked fantastic in their PJs or blue clothes to support both causes and enjoyed receiving their anti-bullying wristbands.

This week all classes have talked openly about bullying and respect for others.
To pledge our support towards RESPECT, we all coloured in an odd sock for display in the courtyard. This demonstrates that we are all unique and different - which is amazing and definitely worth respecting.

Odd Socks Day

We celebrated our differences and chose Respect by wearing odd socks today. This was part of a nationwide campaign to start Anti-Bullying Week 2018.

Our very own anti-bullying ambassadors gave a great performance to support our assembly.

Kilvrough Day 4

Another lovely day today. All of the children have again developed their team building skills and resilience when facing personal challenges. Today we have been canoeing and rock climbing. This has been very enjoyable, despite the weather. We are now packed and ready to enjoy our final activity tomorrow on the beach, before we set off back to Cholsey.  See you soon!

Kilvrough Day 3

Apologies for the late blog. We had connectivity problems last night!
We had a great day yesterday, climbing and doing a waterfall walk. All of the children are continuing to work well in a team, by supporting one another and pushing themselves to have a go. We are looking forward to another busy day!
