We were very excited to welcome Dr Debbie Morgan and Elizabeth Lambert from the NCETM (National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics) with a film crew to Cholsey Primary School this week. They were filming the teaching of maths in some classes in EYFS and Key Stage 1, to use as training videos for teachers around the country. Our very own Mrs Parr is a primary leader for the NCETM and hosted the day.
We received this feedback from Dr

huge thank you for supporting the day of filming yesterday, we had a great day
and feel we have really good footage that will become high quality videos to
support and improve the practice of teachers across the country. Liz and I were
truly inspired by your school and the quality of teaching. You should be very
proud of what you are achieving both in terms of children’s learning and the
positive culture that is reflected in so many ways, not least the kindness of
the staff and the politeness of the children we encountered around the school.’
