Our local MP, David Johnston, came to visit today and met with our school council, who had questions from their classes to ask him. The questions covered a range of topics, including rising energy costs, strikes, climate change and developments in Cholsey. Mr Johnston and his assistant were very impressed with all of the children in the school and how calm and focused they were, as well as the questions classes had written.
Welcome to our school blog. Here we will show you some of the things we have been getting up to at Cholsey Primary School. We would love to hear your comments (note that these may not appear immediately)

Polar Express
A very lucky selection of children boarded the Polar Express in Wallingford on Tuesday and were transported to the North Pole.
They were all impeccably behaved and a real credit to the school.
Here are just a few of the pictures taken.

Children in Need 2022
A big thank you to everyone who kindly donated to Children in Need and the Anti Bullying Alliance last week. We raised over £200.
The children loved being in the PJs!

Year 5&6 Football Tournament
We are very proud of our Year 5&6 children who represented the school at the Wallingford Partnership football tournament this week.
We took two teams and they played amazingly well and won nearly all their games. They played so well, in fact, that both teams had to play each other in the semi-finals. We didn't win in the finals, but the teams showed fantastic skill and sportsmanship.

Anti-Bullying Week
In assembly today we celebrated difference by showing our odd socks and learnt about this year’s anti-bullying week theme - Reach Out.
Our CARE Ambassadors supported by acting out a bullying incident so we could identify the different roles that could be present.
