This week Year 5/6 have working on our DT skills. The task was to create a mini pavlova – not so easy! The children worked collaboratively to create their meringue bases and, in the process, gave their arm muscles a bit of a workout whisking up the egg whites! Once the meringue bases were cooked they then had to whip up the cream and decorate with their chosen toppings according to their designs. They all turned out brilliantly and the children took great care and delight over their creations. The last part was the tasting, which was purely for evaluation purposes and not enjoyable at all…!
